By the end of the course, students will be able to achieve the following Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs):
- ILO1: Describe the components and structure of modern communication systems and the Internet protocol stack
- ILO2: Design Client-Server applications capable of exchanging data through TCP sockets written in python
- ILO3: Design communication protocols based on API contracts.
- ILO4: Implement Pythin scripts to acquire, process, and encode multimedia signals (audio, images, 3D video)
- ILO5: Critically evaluate trade-offs between compression quality and transmission rate for different multimedia encoding formats (G.711, JPEG, MPEG)
- ILO6: Communicate project outcomes and technical challenges effectively, using appropriate terminology
- IL07: Acquire troubleshooting skills for testing and debugging applications working over networks

The course aims to equip students with the theoretical and methodological tools necessary to understand the nature of network design problems. The course includes advanced topics such as convex optimization, queueing theory, Markov Decision Processes (MDPs), with a strong emphasis on practical applications and use cases to exemplify theoretical arguments.

For admin reason, the course is named "Netowrk Analysis" in the current academic year, though it is equivalnet to the course Network Modelking, which will officially be offered next year. Students of the first year are invited to attend the course that wiull be offered the next year, while Network Analysis is for those that are already at the second year and planned to take "Network Modeling".

This course is no longer offered. As this was an intensive laboratory based course, it may be very difficult to pass the exam without attending the lectures. Therefore, if you have this course on your curriculum, we recommend that you replace it with another course currently on offer.
