The Network modeling course (formerly known as Communication Network Design) aims to equip students with the theoretical and methodological tools necessary to understand the nature of network design problems. Students will learn to develop proper models of network systems and dimension their parts using analytical and theoretical approaches. The course includes advanced topics such as convex optimization, queueing theory, Markov Decision Processes (MDPs), with a strong emphasis on practical applications and use cases to exemplify theoretical arguments.
