We are pleased to announce the launch of the Open Badge “Empowering Energy Engineers”, a training pathway designed for all the cohorts of the Master’s Degree Programme in Energy Engineering, and also open to students enrolled in other Master’s programmes at the University of Padova.
The Open Badge consists of a series of modules delivered in English and in person, for a total of 17 hours (plus 1 hour short exam). The contents include both transversal competences (soft skills) and technical-disciplinary topics relevant to the Energy Engineering, with the aim of integrating the academic curriculum with skills that are highly valuable in professional contexts.
Part of the Open Badge is in common with the Master Degree in " Sustainable Chemistry and Technologies for Circular Economy ".
Requirements for obtaining the Badge:
· participation in at least 75% of the classes (signatures will be collected);
· successful completion of a multiple-choice quiz (exam) on the topics covered (minimum 75% correct answers).
Learning outcomes:
Upon completion of the programme, students will be able to:
· Locate, read, understand, and apply the content of a patent within the relevant industrial context;
· Prepare and present scientific documents and presentations in accordance with formal guidelines and requirements;
· Draft an effective CV and adequately prepare for a job interview;
· Design and assess, from a technical and economic-financial perspective, the different options for achieving a company’s carbon neutrality.
· Assess European funding opportunities and set up the drafting of a competitive project
We also inform you that, starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, a second Open Badge—with a different title and set of contents—will be offered, allowing each cohort to obtain two distinct learning paths over the two-year programme.
