We are going to have four open lab sessions for the NLP course this year. This will be about practice with some of the subjects presented during the lectures. Attendance is optional.

Since the open lab sessions are not part of the lectures, we need to choose some extra time slot.

  • If you are planning to attend, please let me know which slots are viable during the week, meaning that there is no conflict with other courses at the same year.

  • If you are not planning to attend, please do not post any constraint.

Please post in the next two days, if possible, I need to book the lab very soon.

I would suggest to have the lab sessions on monday at 10:30.
This time slot should work with the Computer Engineering track of AI and robotics.

Is Monday 10:30am the only available slot for students in the CE program / AI curriculum? Any other day?

Good evening, actually some of us from the AI curriculum are following the operations research 2 course, that has a lesson on Mondays 10.30, and also Wednesday 8.30. Particularly, I can't speak for the others but Thursdays and Fridays have no lessons of NLP or OR2, I'm currently following only these courses so I know that who is also following these have the two mentioned time slots plus the ones from NLP occupied. But then I cannot speak for the other people who are following other courses that will have different constraints.

I would propose to have the lab sessions on Mondays at 8:30 then since on Tuesdays CE students have lectures of basically every core exam of the second semester.

Otherwise another time slot could be on Fridays at 10:30.

We have deep learning classes on Fridays from 10:30 to 12:30. However, for us, Monday at 8:30 is suitable for the Lab lecture.

I have looked into all of your answers, it seems to me that the only slot where everyone agrees is Monday, 8:30--10:30.

Please stand up now if you see any conflict for the above slot. If I do not hear from you I will book the lab. We are going to have 4 lab sessions over the remaining part of the semester.

Dear Professor,
I hope you’re doing well.
I come from the ICT course and would love to join the lab sessions. However, on Mondays during the 8:30–10:30 time slot, we have a class on Stochastic Processes, which creates a scheduling conflict. Is it possible to have the labs from 10:30 onwards?

What about the slot on Thursday 16:30--18:00, is there any conflict?

Hi professor, I believe some of us have project management at that time. But if it is few people and the time slot is better for everyone else, then it is good.

In the end, the first open lab session has been scheduled for March 31st, Monday, at 08:30--10:30.

The session will be held in room Ue, building DEI/G.

Material for this section and further information will be provided sometime later. Stay tuned.
