In the theoretical lessons preceding the laboratory activities, the main concepts of optics and quantum optics for quantum information applications will be reviewed. These include quantum key distribution and quantum random number generation.

First Experience:
Setup assembly for generation, encoding, and analysis of quantum states in polarization.

Second Experience:
Setup assembly for interferometry: encoding and analysis of quantum states in phase.

Third Experience:
Setup assembly of an optical homodyne system and analysis of a quantum state for random number generation.

For the assembly and utilization of these setups, experimental techniques will be introduced, such as:

Use of optomechanics.
Laser beam collimation.
Alignment of optical components: lenses, mirrors, beamsplitters, polarizers, waveplates.
Analysis and manipulation of polarization.
Coupling and propagation of laser beams in fiber.
Laser beam collimation and free-space propagation.
Use of power meters for intensity measurement.
