Period: First Semester

Course Unit Contents:

Mechanical properties of soils and rocks, the role of water and groundwater. Analysis of geological risk in its components, at local and regional scale. Methodologies for risk assessment. Structural and non-structural risk reduction measures. The acquired skills and knowledge will be applied in a GIS laboratory.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods:

Lectures using multimedia instruments and exercises. Lectures will be conducted in English.
