00:02:560Michele De Carli: Good afternoon, everybody. I am going to
00:08:980Michele De Carli: show you. And to explain briefly, hopefully, the new course that we are going to deliver okay from next week from April 7th on urban energy models.
00:23:617Michele De Carli: And I'm I have to thank my Phd. Student
00:30:360Michele De Carli: because he helped me in setting up this work.
00:35:210Michele De Carli: So basically, what is what are we proposing? We are proposing a a completely new approach. But completely new approaches which is called collaborative online international learning which is let's say, based on the activities which are called learning by doing or
01:01:433Michele De Carli: and in this case you can see this is the bloom's taxonomy. So this is the pyramid of knowledge.
01:08:437Michele De Carli: You, you can see that remembering, understanding, applying and analyzing are on the bottom part of this pyramid of the Bloom's taxonomy and evaluation and creation are on top of the pyramid. What we are proposing with the coil is really to have a creative approach. So a completely different approach than what we have or what we have done, what we have experienced. So far
01:36:210Michele De Carli: the virtual collaborative learning is, has quite a long story. Our colleagues and partners from the other universities, especially the University of Dresden colleagues. They have almost 25 years experience on that, and you can see that they have introduced different courses in different, in different periods of time.
02:04:420Michele De Carli: together with us. There is also the Italian University Technical University, and the National Technical University of Ukraine and West Ukrainian National University. So you will be in touch with students from all the other universities. And we are. We are going to set up groups with several people from several universities.
02:28:130Michele De Carli: Now, how is this? This course, organized. Well, it is organized this way. We are going to
02:39:110Michele De Carli: work or to to organize you in groups or subgroups so there is, each group will have to perform its own activity. They will be based on task which will be given weekly.
02:57:430Michele De Carli: And we you will have the support that you will be monitored by the so-called E-tutors, which who are, let's say, looking at and checking your progress during the the weeks, the and then we are as educator who are supervising the whole
03:20:460Michele De Carli: process at the end. You have to show your results and your group's results.
03:27:570Michele De Carli: So what are we proposing? In practice? So basically, we are going to start from April 7.th So from next week there will be the so-called kickoff meeting, where you will be introduced to the coil concepts
03:44:160Michele De Carli: to. And we are going to explain you how to work, how to. We are going to organize the groups, and we are going to also, explain you and teach you how to work in teams. The platform where which would be used for this course is
04:02:265Michele De Carli: teams, Ms teams, Microsoft teams, and you will. And you will also. That will help you in improving the knowledge and the and the know how of this platform.
04:13:850Michele De Carli: So in during the 1st week we are. You're going to have more practice on this platform, and you're going to learn a little bit more more about the coil and then from April 14, we start with the technical issues. So
04:32:730Michele De Carli: the 1st week you will have to face the Gis. So the geographic information system problem you will be given from week 2 to week 4. You are going to work on a on a restricted area on an urban area here in Padua, and you are going, or we are going to give you week by week, different tasks. So the 1st task will be the Gis
04:59:820Michele De Carli: procedure how to define in geographical way the buildings inside of this area, then the the following week we are going, you are going to face the problem of the building energy modeling. And the following week, okay, there is the then the urban building energy model. So Gis
05:26:830Michele De Carli: billionaire resum model. And then urban billionaire zoom model.
05:30:430Michele De Carli: On the 7th of May you are going to have a Powerpoint presentation where you're going to present the results of what you have performed on the Gis point of view. Bm. Band point of view, building, energy model and urban building energy model.
05:47:560Michele De Carli: Then
05:48:580Michele De Carli: from from May 7 to May 21. So in the last 2 weeks then you will have a new task, a new target. A new target will be an area in a city of Ukraine which has to be
06:06:500Michele De Carli: partly renovated and partly reconstructed. Where you're going to. Let's say, do your own. Exercise your your own proposal. By applying the knowledge that you have learned in the in the previous weeks at the end of of the of these 2 weeks. So let's say.
06:30:356Michele De Carli: on the 21st of May you are going to present the the final project by presenting the final project. Then you we are finished. Okay? And unfortunately, from next week sorry for next year. From next academic year we are going to deliver 3 cts. So we are going to
06:52:360Michele De Carli: to have an official laboratory for this year. You will have an open page, which is, anyway, a recognition of your work the load that you have to do is 3 cts. And
07:08:800Michele De Carli: So it's a completely new approach. Of course, this is what you will learn. Okay? And of course, the most important and interesting thing is that you are going to work on a real project on real
07:24:140Michele De Carli: data and in the real.
07:26:500Michele De Carli: So if you are interested, I have uploaded in a moodle in the flyer. Okay? And also this Powerpoint
07:37:531Michele De Carli: you can register in by the QR. Code, and I hope that you will join the course. Thank you so much.
