The following Master's Thesis projects are available at the Safety Lab:
- Safety of reactive systems: Development of stability diagrams for batch and semi-batch operations involving highly unstable reactive mixtures (modelling and experimental activity).
- Safety of hydrogen-based technologies (A): Technical safety and economic performance of mitigative barriers for loss-of-containment scenarios in decentralized modular plants and refueling stations (modelling activity).
- Safety of hydrogen-based technologies (B): Development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and comparative safety assessments for the risk profiles of hydrogen storage technologies (modelling activity).
- AI and Process safety: Implementation of an AI-based algorithm to support phenomena-driven HAZOP analysis (modelling activity - chemical/computer engineering).
