Dear students
At the end of the course, each of you will have the opportunity to assess the contributions of your teammates privately. These assessments will be confidential and only I will have access to them. This ensures that any intentional underperformance in teamwork will be considered in the final evaluation.
Traditional exam
The traditional exam will include:
- A couple of closed-book questions on the topics covered during the course.
- An open-book programming exercise similar to our lab sessions during the course.
Possible problems within a team
Should the members of a team be unable to agree on a specific project topic or find it challenging to work with their teammates, they have the option to switch to the traditional exam.
Alternatively, the team can split into two sub-teams, each consisting of at least two students. Remark: these new sub-teams must be subsets of the original one: students from different original teams cannot form new teams.
Students who opt for one of these possibilities (either team splitting or traditional exam) are required to inform the Professor about their choice as soon as possible.
Choose the modality that best suits your learning style and strengths. Good luck with your preparations!
