The course aims to equip students with the theoretical and methodological tools necessary to understand the nature of network design problems. Students will learn to develop proper models of network systems and dimension their parts using analytical and theoretical approaches. The course includes advanced topics such as convex optimization, queueing theory, Hidden Markov Models, with a strong emphasis on practical applications and use cases to exemplify theoretical arguments.
