The course is design to provide an understanding of the principles of musculoskeletal movements and the methods to measure and analyse movements. Basic Movement Analysis principless will be provided, from a biomechanics point of view. Specifically rigid body joint kinematics and kinetics will be addressed also with the aid of some biomechanics case studies. Basic principles of the methodologies adopted in movement analysis for providing direct and indirect measures of human motion will be provided, with a special focus on sterephotogrammetry, force and plantar pressure plates, surface electromyography and inertial sensors.
