This course is a hands-on introduction to the basics of Internet and multimedia services engineering. After some theoretical lectures that provide a general overview of the mechanisms governing the Internet and multimedia services, students will be exposed to a series of laboratory experiences through which they will master some fundamental tools and methodologies for configuring, managing, and troubleshooting a network (setting IP addresses, setting routes, verifying connectivity, checking performance), as well as for uploading, processing, and transmitting multimedia content (audio tracks, images, and video) over a network connection.
