      Student projects are activities in which groups of students, usually coordinated by a faculty member, work on the design and construction of device engineering artifacts or machinery that they then submit to specific competitions in which these are placed in competition with similar devices made by students from other Italian and foreign universities. These are excellent opportunities to put engineering knowledge and creative talents into practice by competing with peers studying at other universities. The University of Padua has a long tradition in these competitions, where it has often garnered important awards, even at the international level, a confirmation of the technological excellence of our University also confirmed by the recent evaluations carried out by the national agency ANVUR, which saw it excel in Italy in the area of Industrial Engineering and 6 other scientific areas, out of a total of 14 areas overall. Participation is on a voluntary basis and subject to acceptance by the faculty member coordinating the project.

    UNIZEB - Il laboratorio Zero Energy Building dell'Università di Padova è il primo laboratorio di edilizia sostenibile degli studenti e dottorandi dell'Università di Padova, il cui obiettivo è la progettazione e la realizzazione di un edificio a energia zero, che risponda a precisi parametri di sostenibilità e innovazione, seguendo le linee guida della competizione internazionale Solar Decathlon.

    Fondato il 20 marzo 2015, costituisce il proseguimento dell'iniziativa Solar Decathlon Padova, nata all'interno dell'associazione studentesca LEDS – L'Energia Degli Studenti e che per tutto l'AA 2014-15 ha visto impegnati circa 40 studenti di Ingegneria, Economia e Comunicazione.

    A livello amministrativo UNIZEB fa riferimento al Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale (DII) e al Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile, Edile e Architettura (DICEA).
