      Student projects are activities in which groups of students, usually coordinated by a faculty member, work on the design and construction of device engineering artifacts or machinery that they then submit to specific competitions in which these are placed in competition with similar devices made by students from other Italian and foreign universities. These are excellent opportunities to put engineering knowledge and creative talents into practice by competing with peers studying at other universities. The University of Padua has a long tradition in these competitions, where it has often garnered important awards, even at the international level, a confirmation of the technological excellence of our University also confirmed by the recent evaluations carried out by the national agency ANVUR, which saw it excel in Italy in the area of Industrial Engineering and 6 other scientific areas, out of a total of 14 areas overall. Participation is on a voluntary basis and subject to acceptance by the faculty member coordinating the project.

    THRUST è un progetto studentesco che ha come obiettivo quello di  di progettare, assemblare e lanciare un sounding rocket a motore ibrido che raggiunga i 3 Km di altezza, con tutti i sistemi ad esso associati: rampa di lancio, ground station, test facilities.

    Come obiettivo c’è anche quello di partecipare ad EuroC, una competizione che si svolge annualmente in Portogallo a cui partecipano i migliori team universitari d’Europa.

    Un altro aspetto importante è che tutti i membri del team acquisiscano nuove conoscenze e possano consolidare quelle date dall’università, vivendo a 360 gradi un progetto spaziale, occupandosi di ogni sua singola parte, dalla ricerca alla parte tecnica.
