This course introduces the main modeling tools of modern control engineering, providing the foundations to build mathematical models of dynamical systems and analyze their properties, such as convergence to a desired working point. It addresses two cornerstone modeling techniques: state-space models, which allow engineers to efficiently handle complex dynamics, and parametric estimation, which uses measured data to infer unknown parameters of the system.
