This course consists of two parts: the first is an Introductory session where staff from the International Research Office of the University will present some individual grant opportunities such as Maria Skłodowska Curie actions and ERC Starting Grants. Moreover, prof. Laura Orian (member of the 2025 PE5 ERC StG panel) has kindly agree to provide some suggestions based on her experience. This is scheduled for Nov. 28th at 9.00 am in aula Meneghetti (Edificio di Farmacologia), ending 11.00 am. Upon request, it will be possible to attend this session remotely via Zoom.
The second part is a mock proposal writing exercise. After the Introductory session, each of the participant will be assigned to a tutor (several faculties with experience in writing proposal has kindly agree to act as tutors) and a template for a mock proposal will be shared. Each participant shall then draft a proposal, interact with the tutor to have their feedback and improve the proposal accordingly, and then "submit" the proposal by Feb. 2nd 2026. The proposals will be evaluated by the faculties involved as tutors, and a panel feedback will be given.
