Please read emails sent via STEM. If a class is cancelled (e.g., due to Trenitalia issues or research-related commitments), I will notify you by emailing all students enrolled in the course using the STEM system.

Course Facebook page:

The Facebook page will not only be used for course-related information and last-minute announcements (e.g., when Trenitalia decides to make me admire the countryside for hours instead of getting me to the department), but also for news from the field. These may not be strictly part of the course, but they are important to know in order to stay up to date with recent discoveries and developments.
Of course, all information strictly related to the course will always be sent via STEM email.

As a general rule, online classes are not planned. However, according to university regulations, part of the course may be delivered in a non-traditional (i.e., non–face-to-face) format. Therefore, we will use online lectures only when, for various reasons—such as illness or Trenitalia strikes—it is not possible for everyone to be physically present in the classroom.

In the event of a strike, for example, both I (as a commuter by train) and likely many of you may have difficulty reaching the university. In such cases, the lecture will be recorded.
