The course is dedicated to studying the main aspects that characterize modern e-health systems, i.e., systems to monitor the health and well-being of people. The course includes three parts: in the first one, you will study the most common signals used to quantify the physiological conditions of an individual (e.g., electrocardiogram, electroencephalogram, ...). The second part will deal with the different techniques to process such signals (e.g., Wavelet transform, independent component analysis, ...). Finally, in the last part, you will be introduced to the main communication protocols for healthcare (e.g., Bluetooth Low Energy).
