Program: The basic principles of optical tweezers will be presented, in particular concerning their use in force-spectroscopy single-molecule experiments. After a theoretical introduction to the physical principles of optical trapping, some biophysical applications will be discussed in detail and a visit to the optical tweezers instrument available at the Department of Physics and Astronomy will be organized.
Date(s): 3rd (theory) and 4th (applications and lab visit) June 2024, 14.30 -18.30
