During this visit, will be able to see and "touch with your hands" the RFX-mod2 toroidal machine and the Neutral Beam Test Facility (NBTF), where the Neutral Beam Injector for ITER is being developed and tested. The meeting point for this visit will be at 9:30 on Mon 11/05/2026 the entrance of "Area di Ricerca del CNR", Corso Stati Uniti 4, Padova. You can reach the meeting point by bicycle, by public transportation (bus number 7) or by car . The visit will finish around 12:00, so that you will be able to be back to other lectures by 12:30. | Registration List for visit to ITER site Cadarache (France) 2-3/07/2026 (update of 27/04/2026) | 2 luglio 2026, 06:00 | Cadarache (South of France) | Visit to ITER site Cadarache (France) 2-3/07/2026 (update of 2/05/2026) in addition to the visits organized within our course of "Nuclear Fission and Fusion Power Plants" (Caorso Power Plant - 4/06/2026, and Consorzio RFX - 11/05/2026), the University of Padova is organizing a visit to ITER site (Cadarache, France) on 2 and 3 July 2026. Unfortunately, the visit date overlaps with the summer examination period and cannot be modified. Thus, this visit is offered as an additional opportunity for a limited number of students seriously interested in this course. Fifteen (15) places are presently confirmed for the students of this course. Please note also that: All travel, accommodation and meal expenses for the participating students will be offered by UniPD. If possible, we intend to independently organize a visit to the ITER site specifically for the students of the course of "Nuclear Fission and Fusion Power Plants" in Sept-Oct 2026.
